Tod Maffin is undoubtedly a cultural icon at its birth. This is so extremely unique, and more small-town Canadian than anything I have ever heard. Itās a winning combo of the stories of real people living in a town that sounds fictional but isnāt, with humour and a real love of the subject. Dry sarcasm and Canadian self-effacing aw-shucks by, with a modern connection to past, present, people and places in history. I am reminded of a down-to earth Garrison Keillor, with a whiff of Robertson by Davies. Please Sir, can I have some more?
